Blog Bashes: Farmers Market Friday, Dragon Boats 7/8

Hey, LAVoice users: Come on out early Friday night and join L.A.'s bloggers, blog-readers and blog-addicts for the third annual blogospheric get-together at the Farmer's Market at 3rd and Fairfax.
LAVoice.org will be celebrating the Press Club Award and our soon-to-be-published 2000th post, so I hope to see some LAVoice folks join us.
I'll be there from 6 to around 7:30 (got a prior commitment I have to meet afterward) but the bash will be going on for quite a while longer. Last year's get-together was a lot of fun - the food stalls offer a dizzying variety (including my personal favorite), and this year, blogging.la promises to buy "a ton of beer and lemonade for everyone," so I hope you'll join us.

Oh, and another footnote - I'll be paddling on the blogging.la crew (with a mystery ringer) in the 2006 Lotus Festival Dragon Boat Races at Echo Park on July 8.
Council President Eric Garcetti's apparently been talking some trash about beating us. We'll see who gets a lotus-blossom breakfast, now won't we.
