It's been an interesting week for the South Central Farmers, who continue to wait for sheriff's deputies to evict them on a court order handed down three weeks ago:
Sheriff helicopters have been seen more frequently over the farm the past few days. They are trying to assess the number of supporters inside the farm to prepare for forceful eviction. LAPD has also been seen circling the block on ground and counting the number of supports outside the farm.
Your support is needed. Please go to 41st and Alameda. We'll see you there.
They also point out a group I'd never heard of before, CopWatch L.A..
- Meanwhile, Julia Butterfly Hill bailed out of the walnut tree where she had spent 19 days, to be replaced by farm representatives who had been trained in tree-sitting and, we assume, resistance.
- Oh, and add Willie Nelson's name to the list of celebrities who have visited the farm.
