Tattleware - Payback for Bad Drivers?

(Hat tip to the
ACME License Maker)
Freeway revenge is never as sweet in real life as it is between your ears.

Get cut off, and your mind races: Flip him off? Wave a snarky Road Rage card? Dial the CHP? He's gone before you can formulate a just (and safe) punishment.

But his plate number burns in your mind's eye - and with that, you can embarrass him by reporting him to PlateWire, a bulletin-board for posting bad drivers - one that screams "lawsuit magnet" ...
DRIVE
Spot a speeder? A drunk? A makeup- applying- cellphone- gabbing- no- signal- using- 89- in- a- 65- zone- nutjob?

Post the offender's plate number straight from your cellphone to the site (866-689-2155), then log in later from home to add a detailed report.

You can tag plates with a "flag," an "award," a "hazard" or even a "flirt" icon then fill in the car's make, model, color, location and allegedly offensive behavior. Hey, they even have an RSS feed.

But you gotta wonder how long this site will run before someone with a good lawyer gets libeled with a bogus report that he was weaving all over the road in his Navigator while toking up and watching porno on his in-dash TV - and sues.

And you might get better results phoning the CHP - who'll be more likely to deter intoxicated hazards than would an embarrassing little web mention, no?
