  LA's Other Half

Accordding to a recent Forbes 400 list, LA has its fair share of super-rich-- 33 out of the top 400 in the country to be exact (and that doesn't include Orange County).

Eli Broad tops the list at #26 and, bringing up the rear (the lowest ranked of LA's supermillionaires, is a fellow named Neil Kadisha (of Beverly Hills, naturally).
POWER
But don't feel bad for Neil Kadisha, he has a nice consolation prize of $690 million! Most of that comes from his role in founding Qualcomm and now as financier at Omninet Capital and a real esate developer. He spreads his money around and must be an all around nice guy, but you just know he's got his eye on Michael Eisner (#359) and some guy named Selim Zilkha (#364).

Given all of this, my theory about LA being full of poseurs when it comes to showing off money just got shot full of holes. The person in the Bentley might stopped at the light on Sunset next to you might be legitimately wealthy after all.

Heck, it might be Guilford Glazer! (#345)

Note: Wow, this falls under the category off "Oops"... this was submitted to LA Voice back in June and it got lost among the clutter in the submission file and was never posted... our bad Clem, sorry! We've adjusted the date so it archives properly... we promise this won't happen again.
