In the paintings of the artist, Stephen Verona, we see a manifestation of the artistic talent that wrote, produced and directed the film classic, “THE LORDS OF FLATBUSH,” as well as other major motion pictures. (filmography: www.stephenverona.com)

As a painter, Stephen Verona is the only artist to have been nominated for an Academy Award along with a hundred other awards; his photographs hang in the Getty Museum Permanent Collection; and, he is the recipient of the unique distinction as “…a true renaissance man and surely the “father of the music video…” {Mitchell Fink-PEOPLE Magazine}
In announcing the gallery showing, which opens August 9, 2008, Karen Lynne, gallery co-owner, said, “As we prepare this extraordinary exhibition, my staff and I are fascinated by the stories that Stephen tells about the inspiration and “back-story” of each painting. His art brings us to the exotic places of his adventures, all over the world.”
Stephen Verona will be Guest of Honor at the Karen Lynne Gallery from 6 pm to 9 pm; Saturday evening.
